Teaching Matters

NZEI network for Primary teachers

It was great to have all the Primary Teacher Leadership Team members present at Annual Meeting this year.  Wonderful to see so many wearing the Teachers matter ti-shirts.  Well done Kay for bringing them to sell too.  Those of us that shared breakfast together had an enjoyable time also.  Our group certainly had a profile and thanks so much to those who shared supportive comments about my Civic Square speech.  You are such an awesome group of people!  Keep up the excellent work.  My prayers go from one Catholic to another too!!!  See you all in November.

Hi Jo

Yes, wasn't it great that all of PTLT were there!! Sorry I didnt get to say hello to all of you..I was in the IT desk and had those microphones to look after.!

You will all be interested to know that that is the first time that all members of PTLT (or PCTAG) have been at an Annual Meeting..(and probably that is a record for all the NEAGs too)....so well done to everyone..and I hope this morning at school hasn't been too difficult and that the inspiration from Annual Meeting overcomes any tireness!

Look at the photos that have just gone up on the NZEI website..and you are likely to see yourself and the other PTLters too!

Dear Phillippa,

I saw you at the back doing microphones.  I turned behind me at one point to see an anxious look on your face, so I hope the stress of the job wasn't a concern for you.  Thanks for the hello when I arrived at AM and the wave I got at Molly Malone's.  I think as teachers ( which you still are in my mind) we are such social beings, so I guess the only negative about AM for me was not so much time to interact with people.  But for a day and a half we sure did cram a lot in!  Also please tell Darrell that is was lovely to be greeted by him at the Airport.  All Tai Tokerau area reps that travelled together commented on how good that was.  A gesture like that helped us to feel so welcome.
