The "Real World" pay envelope

Wonders how this "real world" government can find 1.6 billion dollars to bail out poor investment choices in South Canterbury, but can't increase the size of the "envelope" given to the Ministry of Education to stop New Zealand trained teachers leaving for better paid and better conditioned teaching positions overseas. Maybe the "real world" that Mr Key speaks of is one of is filled people who have enough to save and invest in dodgy schemes

The tractor> It's not a Ferguson 35... are you running a parallel career on the land?
I was questioned about a runour that the present Gov't ( God bless all who sail in her ) is considering allowing teachers only 4 weeks "holiday" as with the bulk of the proletariat and the rest is to be non-contact time in a more site-bound sense. I said if anyone knows anything it will be you:-)
