A Vision for the Teaching Profession

I have just read ... Changes to policy and other settings will have little impact unless the profession takes ownership of the effective use of resources and makes an ongoing commitment to development and upskilling. pg8 of the Final Report from A Vision for the Teaching Profession.

You would think this implies we would be consulted as this is how ownership happens, through shared discussion. But we haven't been for this (or National Standards). A teacher was not even on the Advisory…

National Standards

With the lack of understanding of National Standards that is out there, is it O.K. to be writing reports against them?

I'ld like to know what people think as teachers and parents. What are schools doing?
