Which one doesn't need to be trained?

Sometimes we need to put cuts into context. Here's a story...So out in this centre is four staff. One is outside looking after a group of students exploring and learning on the equipment out there. He's helping them develop gross motor skills and exploring what happens to water in sand.By the water trough is another teacher talking about floating and sinking, heavy and light. The Rumbling Grows Louder!

I don't now what you have been hearing, but out around the staff rooms there is a quite rumbling. A steady stream of discontent is emerging, as teachers realize the impact of the many changes to education that are in the pipeline.



The impact of the extra workload and pressure on teachers is mounting weekly. Now it isn't enough just to report on what we were asked to as Tolley template states,

and against our better judgment, maths, reading and writing.

I wonder.....

I wonder how many other workers were given advice to complete work over the long weekend? It is funny really, I think that the public perception of a teachers job is very screwed! I find that our workload can at times be unforgiving. Not only this term do many teachers write reports equivalent to completing a thesis but have to test, mark and anallise results to get to that point. While still maintaining a full days teaching and planning load!
