Whangarei branch hosted three cluster meetings. Unfortunately attendance was low, however we had good discussion about the remuneration and recognition report. The principles helped us focus on what we consider to be important. Concerns about the lack of career pathways and the governments refusal to accept the Practice Based Attestation model were food for thought. However as we lead up to our collective agreement negotiations next year, I hope more teachers share their opinions on the way forward.
