This is a very powerful "real" example of what is likely to happen to those fragile relationships we cherish with our whanau and our community. How shameful is this? However more importantly where is the "raising student achievement" part of the conversation. We must expose the standards for what they really are and what they are likely to do. As a teacher, mother, aunty, nana I will fight for the protection of my whanau and invite you all to do the same. Kia kaha kia maia kia manawanui!
